High risks:Chemically or biochemically contaminated foreign bodies.

Organic foreign bodies.

Soil-contaminated foreign bodies.

IOFBs containing copper may cause chalcosis. It can lead to an acute inflammation and acute loss of vision and should be removed as soon as possible [46, 47].

Factors may increase the difficulties of early surgery, such as media opacity, hemorrhagic choroidal detachment, etc.
